The league championship games are coming up this weekend. All four teams have a reasonable chance of advancing to the Super Bowl in Houston on Feb 5, 2017.
Here's what they've done in the Super Bowl through the first 50 years of the big game:
Clearly, New England, Pittsburgh, and Green Bay have all been winners; they each have won the Super Bowl at least four times! The Falcons reached the big game once, but lost to Denver back in Super Bowl XXXIII. So, the underdog/darling pick would surely be the Falcons. Given that they have the league's best offense, they seem like they might be up to the task.
This has been a good year for me. In the playoffs, I am 8 for 8 straight up and 8 for 8 against the spread, I'm feeling pretty confident this week. Here are my predictions:
New England -6 over Pittsburgh (U/O 51)
New England 34
Pittsburgh 30
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Atlanta -4.5 over Green Bay (U/O) 61)
Green Bay 38
Atlanta 35
